Ubuntu 10.10 Beta 发布
Ubuntu 团队已发布 Ubuntu 10.10 的 Beta 测试版本。Ubuntu 10.10 的开发代号为“Maverick Meerkat”，计划今年 10 月 10 日正式推出。
根据 Ubuntu 10.10 Beta 发行注记，该版本主要包含以下亮点：
- Linux kernel 2.6.35
- 允许在安装时选用 btrfs 文件系统
- Software-Center 新增“Featured”、“Whats New”、及“History”功能
- GNOME 2.31
- Shotwell 取代 F-Spot 成为默认的照片管理器
- Sound Indicator 得到增强
- Ubuntu One 与桌面集成更紧密
