GNOME 3.0 将于明年 9 月发布

GNOME 开发团队已决定在明年的 9 月发布 GNOME 3.0。我们知道，GNOME 采用的是 6 个月的发布周期，继 GNOME 2.28 之后的版本将为 GNOME 2.30，计划明年 3 月推出。

早在今年 4 月，我们曾向各位披露过有关 GNOME 3.0 的计划，GNOME 3.0 不仅将引入新的核心组件，而且会在改善用户的使用体验上着力。

    KDE4到了4.3才算稳定，Gnome3的话，估计3.0够折腾，3.1可能好点

    KDE4.3.3刚刚发布了，真佩服KDE的开发团队，持续不断地努力！KDE4现在已经比较稳定了，到4.4或4.5发布的时候，估计就基本完善了！再看看Gnome的开发团队，太失望了！

    gnome-shell就目前而言太难用了，不仅没有更好的体验，反正更加繁琐。。。

    不感兴趣……到时候不要弄得一团糟就好了。希望开发团队能了解Gnome的用户是为什么用Gnome的。

    GNOME 3..... i don't know what to say about it, but really, when the screen have some much thing going on even when I just try to push one button. so annoying keep seeing thing around. They just solid the system, and make thing easy to use, and comfortable for usability as well as visual. I mean. WE do have the technology, but that don't mean we have to use it even when it is not good for the what are we trying to.

    由于gnome得到绝大多数的商业公司支持，所以，即使它的成绩与KDE持平，也是比KDE相对落后了。不过走在后面也是有好处的，KDE4的先行提供了许多用户真实的反馈，值得gnome借鉴。

    @Big Brother: 现在试用gnome-shell还不简单阿，fedora和ubuntu源里都有，arch的aur里也有，gnome网站还提供脚本安装那。

    @chwt163 准确的说应该是gtk 得到了广泛的支持。。。从GNOME桌面支持的可能不多，只有做桌面系统才会支持，Novell，Redhat，SUN（OpenSolaris 的桌面一致性做得真不错）...显然Novell（包括以前专注于GNOME桌面的Ximian公司，被Novell收购）对 GNOME不怎么满意，每次新版本发布都会进行大改造（Novell的两个主要桌面版本都是如此9和10，每个版本都界面设计上的革新），这是其他系统没有的。

    GNOME3 唯一吸引我的就是 global menu。

    如果这个功能没有，我想不出它存在的任何价值。

    以前用xp 喜欢kde 现在用mac 倒是有点偏向gnome了 gnome要赶上mac 还需要很长时间努力

    在Archlinux上费尽千辛万苦把gnome-shell编译好，结果不能运行，苦也。。。。。。

    今天试了一下fluxbox，速度飞快，openbox也快，不过就是要配置，麻烦了点
