Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) Alpha 1 放出

Ubuntu 8.10 正式发布后还不足一月，Ubuntu 团队就放出了下一个版本 Ubuntu 9.04 的首个 Alpha 测试版。Ubuntu 9.04 开发代号为“Jaunty Jackalope”，预计明年 4 月推出。

Ubuntu 开发团队在邮件列表中说，该版本自 Intrepid 以来的主要变化是，一方面重新合并了来自 Debian 上游的包；另一方面则花时间做新的 ARM 移植。

    用Ubuntu系统真是累人，不断得换版本，还得不断得去适合新的版本，真累，还是喜欢我的gentoo，基本上没有发行版的概念，安装一次可以无期限的升级下去！！！

    to gentoofans : archlinux 不也是可以无限升级的吗 ，以后常驻arch了

    问题是没有一个确切发行版的linux经常会有问题，比如我之前用archlinux，2008.06,安装上更新，就说有文件冲突，强制安装上，然后装xorg, gnome, video driver,结果装上后界面没有文字，上archlinux的论坛上发现有不少人有这个问题，说是需要从testing repository装最新的一个什么东西。虽然装了一次就可以不停的更新，但是每次大的更新都面临着可能会出问题。

    从早到晚一刻不停的吃，我们把这叫做平滑吃饭，基本上就没有了吃饭的概念，也省了洗碗的步骤。

    我用ubuntu的长期支持版，从ubuntu6.06到ubuntu8.04，是否会用下一个长期支持版，就得看硬件支持不支持了，可能就一直用8.04了。

    ubuntu也可以这样啊，就不断改源就好啦，比方8.10就用9.04的源。正好升级

    @Hao Zhe XU: 适合gentoo的laptop,我想只要有linux驱动的硬件的本本gentoo都适合。 感觉不是太新的硬件的laptop都很容易搞定。

    我的T61上跑得很稳定 amd64

    用lts的长期支持版就好了，没必要总跟着升，也考虑过用arch，但是，升级太快，尤其是重要包升级快，造成总要时不时的去折腾系统，有这个时间干点啥不好，而且，很多人都说ubuntu总是不能用到最新版的软件，除了内核，gcc这类比较核心的东西以外，其它软件我基本都是自己编译repo里面的东西或者编译最新的stable release,一样用的都是最新版。

    我也从6.06LTS一路升级上来，没觉得有什么痛苦。

    Ubuntu的版本升级做得算是不错的了，相对于Fedora，之前从1-5的经历是痛苦的。
