TeX Live 2008 使获得和运行 TeX 更简单

TeX Live 是一套包含 TeX 及其相关程序的发行版，适合 Linux、Mac OS X、Windows 等多种系统平台使用。它将 TeX、LaTeX2e、ConTeXt 等可执行程序，各种宏包，以及字体和文档打包在一起，不仅使获得和运行 TeX 更加简单，而且极大的方便了各位 TeX 用户的使用。

TeX Live 的最新版本 2008 除了对整个基础架构进行了重新设计和实现外，还添加了以下新功能：

  • 可以通过 Internet 在安装后更新 TeX Live。
  • 添加了新的引擎 LuaTeX，使排版更显灵活。
  • 对 Windows 和基于 Unix 的平台支持更一致。
  • 新的 tlmgr 脚本是初始安装后管理 TeX Live 的通用界面。
  • 在大多数平台上包含了 xindy 索引程序。

如果你急着想用 TeX Live 2008，那么可从这里下载 TeX Live 2008 的 ISO 映像文件。相信一些 Linux 发行版也会及时跟进，让我们拭目以待。

    话说xetex发展得可真不错啊，几年间tex市场天翻地覆...

    希望中文字体过细的fix早点出来
