Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron 开发远景

我们已经知道，继 Ubuntu 7.10 之后的下一个版本为 8.04，其开发代号为 Hardy Heron，预定于 2008 年 4 月发布。Ubuntu 8.04 是 Ubuntu 发布历程当中的第二个 LTS（长期支持）版本。目前，关于该版本的开发远景规划也已提上议事日程。

据悉，Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron 除了在稳定性和长期可维护性这两个方面下功夫外，也计划引入一些新的特性。从其开发远景规划中，我们可以注意到 Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron 有望在以下方面着手改进和增强：

  • 为 Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron 设计一套全新的主题
  • 对现有的 installer 进行改进
  • 使文件跨本地网络分享更加容易
  • 能够更好的配置双显示器
  • 改进 Compiz Fusion
  • 添加新的 KDE 4.0

    ubuntu 真是越来越好了,

    另, 博主能不能考虑 全文输出feed呢…而不是摘要输出..

    要求配置越来越高了，我的电脑越来越慢了。不想玩ubuntu了。不如arch。。。

    通过修改源的方法升级到hardy不会添加任何新功能
    除非你还保留ubuntu-desktop这个包……

    …Arch配置太麻烦了。。我想找一个配置好的中文并且带XWindows的Archlinux。。最好是可安装的LiveCD。。就像Ubuntu一样。。

    8.04出来的时候再升级下老机器上的7.04。感觉ubuntu是一版本比一个版本慢，台机我已经受不了了，这几天换成arch，的确顺手，其实也不难配置，就是改了半天折腾完以后，才发现ubuntu真是做了很多事情，起码大多数无聊重复的事情不用用户去折腾。
