Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) RC 发布

今早起来便收到来自 Ubuntu 团队的邮件消息，Ubuntu 7.10（开发代号“Gutsy Gibbon”）的 RC 版在今天发布了。这是 Ubuntu 7.10 的候选发布版。接下来就是本月 18 号的正式发布了。算一算日子，是越来越近了。随同 Ubuntu 一起发布的还包括 Kubuntu、Edubuntu、Gobuntu、Xubuntu 等系列。

本次发布版本的亮点有：

  • 桌面版：包括 Compiz Fusion 3D 桌面效果；在打印机安装上，所有配置皆是自动完成，连上即可开始使用；引入了 Flash 支持的自由实现──Gnash；自动化的 Firefox 插件安装功能。
  • 服务器版：包括 AppArmor，并为邮件服务器、打印服务器、数据库服务器、文件服务器等预先配置安装选项，使其更易被布署。
  • Edubuntu：包括更快的瘦客户端和已更新的登录管理器。
  • Kubuntu：除了上面桌面版所具有的亮点外，还包括 Dolphin 文件管理器、Strigi 桌面搜索软件、以及受限驱动的管理器。

Ubuntu 7.10 RC 版具有 Live 桌面 CD、服务器安装 CD、以及文本模式安装 CD 可用，它们可通过如下地址下载。

    申请免费光盘如果不分享就太浪费资源了。其实可以硬盘安装的。

    2.6.22.14的内核升级以后启动速度飞快！！30秒绝对能进桌面里面去

    To wjs272:Ubuntu啟動速度向來飛快，最近連openSUSE也做到半分鐘內啟動了。看來如何加速啟動是發行版的必備課題了

    opensuse的试过了，确实快，比ubuntu还快，我的10s左右，网上有opensuse 13s开机的视频

    to xonn: 不清楚ZH以及你的機器配置，不過我的機器512MB內存，開機可以在半分鐘左右搞定

    to Charlie: 我的机器从启动到进入桌面总共花了1分37秒。 从bootchart输出的信息如下： uname: Linux 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Wed Oct 10 06:00:47 GMT 2007 i686 release: Ubuntu 7.04 CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) M CPU 420 @ 1.60GHz(1) kernel options: root=UUID=c44a5b55-090a-40fa-b49d-da2f962525a8 ro rootflags=data=writeback time: 1:37 内存：1G 和大家的启动速度相比慢了一大截阿！

    有没有这么快? 我个人认为SuSE和Ubuntu启动超慢,我没用过Mandriva不敢说,但真的很慢.后来一直用Slackware. 请问怎样才可以Hack得这么快,我是想知道用了什么原理,我当时用SuSE和UB也是关了很多服务的,也没达到三十秒的效果,我看我朋友用7.04启动超慢的

    楼上几位半分钟之内进入桌面的能否介绍一下经验？ 我参考了网上很多介绍加速启动的文章之后，开机还要一分多钟……

    to xoon: 會不會是CPU的問題，我的是P4 2.4GHz

    to slackcode: 以往的SUSE的確啟動很慢，所以10.3推出的時候，開發人員集中改進過這個問題

    我的系統沒有作過優化，安裝完畢後就是這個速度了

    启动速度真的那么重要吗。我是做开发的，一般都是把常用的服务在开机时就打开，如mysql,apache等，开机慢有什么，一天就开1－2次。什么都关了，用什么都要去开服务，烦不烦啊

    升级安装还是有一些莫名其妙的问题出来，如输入汉字，CPU占用高（莫名其妙的），还是全新安装吧

    把/etc/fstab改了，别让他检查那些没必要检查的分区，就可以快不少。具体方法，网上一搜就有。
