Pinot: 个人搜索工具

虽然我更喜欢 KDE，但是我对 KDE 的桌面搜索工具 Strigi 不满意，然而 Tracker 对 GNOME 的依赖也使我望而却步；Google Desktop Search 和 Firefox 集成的很好，也很强大，但是如果你用 AMD 64、PPC 平台或者 FreeBSD 的话，那么你就会失去一致性。因此如果你也在寻找不依赖于 KDE 或是 GNOME、开源的 index 工具，Pinot 或许就是答案。

Pinot 不仅作为 D-Bus 服务来爬行、索引你的文档，并对它们的更改情况进行监视；而且，Pinot 也提供基于 GTK 的用户界面，让你能够查询该服务所索引的内容。

当前，Pinot 具有高级查询、语言检测、文档浏览、元数据编辑、文档标记、查询存储、文档摘要、搜索桌面和 Web 等功能。

Pinot 发布在 GPL 许可之下，目前版本为 0.81，除源代码外，还包括适用于 Fedora、Ubuntu、Zenwalk、Archlinux、openSUSE 等 Linux 发行版的二进制包。Pinot 可从其项目网站获取。

    搜索自己电脑 貌似没什么必要 平时 做好组织工作 还什么文件找不到的。 Gnome的 Tracker不是一般的耗资源

    会失去一致性是指？ 还有，这个工具到底怎么样？是比Google Desktop Search好，还是迫不得已的替代品？
