Google 发布 Chromium OS 源代码

回到今年七月，Google 对外宣布开发 Google Chrome OS 的计划，并承诺将开放其源代码。现在，Google 兑现了自己的许诺，Google Chrome OS 开源版本 Chromium OS 的源代码已经可用。

Chromium OS 基于 Debian，其中采用了 Linux Kernel、GNU tools、X-server-Org-core、Syslinux、iBus、ConnMan 等自由软件项目；当然，最主要的是整合了 Google Chrome 网络浏览器。

根据 Google 的公告，Chromium OS 没有传统的桌面应用程序，所有的应用程序皆为 Web 应用程序。

Google Chromium OS 的源代码可从其官方网站获取。

    既然是基于 X，那把 window manager 的代码单独提出来是不是就可以运行在一般的 Linux 上了呢？

    这Chrome OS, 切换到终端还有karmic的痕迹，呵呵。 @leenjewel: 可以将编译完的VM镜像转换成Vbox的，我在Vbox上跑了一下，感觉非常的卡。用USB在物理机上启动也玩了一下，没什么感觉。

    确切的说是基于Ubuntu 9.10开发版的，/etc/issue.net的内容是：Ubuntu karmic (development branch)

    就是一个基本系统加浏览器而已，这次google只玩概念，对linux没什么实质上的帮助。 唯一的希望就是能加速各商业驱动的加入。

    貌似这个slim功能很强大阿。。直接利用google账户登录。

    难道配置文件也可以保存到google？那还值得一试。我自己也用slim

    刚刚试用了Chromium，速度真是快啊！但是播放Flash动画的效果不太好，不流畅，但总体来看比FireFox速度快，FireFox加油啊！

    来看看原版 chrome os： 基于 mozilla chrome 的 ByzantineOS http://byzgl.sourceforge.net/ 可惜，很久不更新了。
