GNOME 3 延期至 2011 年

最近的 GUADEC 上开发者们宣布将 GNOME 3.0 推迟到 2011 年 3月发布，意味着下个 GNOME 2.32 依然会是经典 2.X 系列的延续。

GNOME 社区计划使用这额外的6个月时间着重改善 GNOME 辅助特性， GNOME Shell 和相关文档，而在今年9月份的时候将发布 GNOME 2.32 和一个 GNOME 3.0 的开发者预览版本。 GNOME 2.32 将包含色彩管理和 UPnP 等新特性以及 Bugfix 。

GNOME 3 的延期意味着将错过年底的 Fedora 14 等发行版。

    黑兄，即使 GNOME 3.0 跳不跳票，Ubuntu 10.10 都不会包含 GNOME 3.0 的啊！

    感觉跳票之后会有点口水出来喷的。

    我希望Gnome 3发布的时候不会像KDE 4一样满身Bug，那样就还得很长时间修复。

    反正用KDE4了，无所谓了。Arch的KDE unstable仓库都清空了，KDE4.5 RC3进了testing仓库。KDE4.5正式版应该能在8月如期发布吧。

    KDE4。3以上的大体还算稳健，就是字体，不知道怎么搞得，英文环境下老没有GNOME下面好看，真是奇怪，每次搞得我很不爽

    不知道开发gnome那帮人是不是用的anjuta，感觉GtkSourceView不够强大，不知道是不是编辑器不够称手导致开发进度慢的......

    呵呵，正常啊，应该重新设计nautilus界面，应该设计一个和 win7,mac os, kde dophin能够匹敌的文件浏览器，另外文件浏览器应该和文件选择器统一起来（文件选择器在文件浏览器上扩展，以前不是有那个蓝图吗），和mac中一样。 gnome shell 实在不怎么样，如果能够将global menu（google code上的项目）标准化就好了。

    @simsilver: anjuta 比起novell的工具 mono develop 都差好远，GTK应该提供一些高级的组件，如docking框架，wizard，高级dialog等（如elipse提供的那样），首先就应该应用到anjuta中，加快gkt程序开发。

    @wolfmei: 看其规划文档，就知道其出来不会惊天地的，其规划所展示的思路太落后了，基本上最终实现效果能追上win xp就很不错了。俗话说得好，不破不立，还是kde大胆。

    @kuno: 又看到kde4追求革新、改进不倦、精神令人无比敬畏的亢奋的新闻：KDE SC 4.6 会在性能上有较大的提升(kde4.4这样已经流畅运行的还能较大提升性能，我们无比期待啊)，并对代码进行了清理和简化，而在其移动版中将使用 OpenGL ES ，KDE SC 4.7 将使用 OpenGL 3 合成效果，并可能和compiz的开发者一起合作搞kwin（In a next step I want to go to OpenGL 3 in 4.7, but the free drivers do not yet support this generation. (That’s perhaps a point to work together with Compiz developers.)）。gnome3情何以堪啊。

    上面好多人都把gnome一棍子打死了，感觉gnome用起来蛮好的，不知道大家看gnome哪点不顺眼。并且gnome用的是gtk，c的扩展机制肯定比不上c++吧，但是gtk各种语言的绑定也贡献了不少不错的软件吧

    求助，最近台机组了RAID0，而且很悲剧的显卡是集成的HD4200，想搭64位linux当家用服务器，fedora13安装时需要额外RAID驱动么？ati最新的10.7驱动能正常用么？我只希望ATI别玩我。arch对ati的支持很一般，官方wiki都说不推荐直接装ati的bin，arch自己打包的驱动也存在不少问题。纠结中。

    没办法便宜一点性价比高的主板都是集成ati的显卡。

    顺便再问一下，ESXi有人用过么？免费的ESXi没有远程图形化控制界面？如果我的RAID0用来装ESXi的话是不是整个卷都要用于虚拟系统？有没有谁部署过ESXi讲讲感受？

    最近折腾这电脑，问题比较多…………

    ICH9R 表示不用特别的驱动就能组 RAID0。黑兄之前说过 ATi 10.7 能在 Fedora 13 里面装，不过不是特别要求默认的开源驱动已经能够提供 Compiz 特效了。

    ESXi 似乎是要特定的硬件才能跑哦。。

    @liangsuilong: 谢谢。我是AMD SB750的南桥芯片，bios开启了硬RAID0，如果Fedora13能够正常识别那就上这个了。不过黑兄没说他是32还是64位，ATI驱动32位能用64位完蛋可能性还是有的……而且我倒不是要求特效（现在不折腾这玩意了），只是想让系统稳定运行，这么说开源驱动应该也够用了（几年前有过惨痛的被ATI折磨的经历，以至于最近几年全线NV显卡，最近主板坏了才换的一个AMD的板子）。

    ESXi4.1据说兼容性提高不少，很多民用设备也能使用。主要想尝试一下。

    @Petty: linuxsir很少去，感觉那里的东西比较滞后……
