Firefox 8 Beta

严格遵循 Rapid Release 计划，Firefox 8 Beta 发布。

桌面版本新功能有：

  • 默认增加推特搜索，支持 @用户名 和 #标签。
  • 按需恢复标签页，当打开先前有大量标签页的进程时，可以选择只恢复其中一部分。
  • 改善对于扩展的控制，升级时提示选择加载扩展；对于第三方扩展需要明确允许才可启用。
  • 标签页动画，移动标签页时增加动画效果，方便操作。
  • WebGL 的材质跨来源资源共享(Cross-Origin Resource Sharing)，允许 WebGL 开发者安全的加载位于其他域名下材质资源。
  • 更新 WebSocket，禁用从一个 SSL 页面发起的明文 WebSocket，增加安全性。
  • HTML5 原生右键菜单，开发者可以通过 HTML5 标签将内容添加入 Firefox 右键菜单。
  • HTML5 媒体标签，在页面上加载的大量的音视频将不再会影响性能。

Android 版本新功能有：

  • 默认增加推特搜索，支持 @用户名 和 #标签。
  • 增加主控密码，One Password Rules All。
  • 主界面书签，允许将任何书签添加到主界面上，做到一键启用。

    哎，火狐真是一点前途都没有了，版本号狂涨，功能没进步，界面搞抄袭，插件不兼容，插件作者都跑了…… 因firebug来，又因firebug去。 转去用Opera了。

    @vincent linux下的opera貌似很不给力，打开一个网页，总是最后几张图片下载不下来......

    @icebird: 谁让你愿意用beta版呢,8还处于beta阶段吧....我还可以这样说:真烦人!我昨天才装的7,今天就出10了,在这样下去我也不和Firefox玩了! 正式版的更新节奏还是可以接受的.

    现在的firefox快速更新没有什么不好，之前担心的插件兼容性问题并不存在。

    软件升级频率快其实也恰好证明了这个项目开发力量充足。我现在用7，确实是比6内存占用少了，所用的扩增也没有出现兼容性问题。期待FF越做越好！

    其实我建议Firefox版本号以100为基本单位，100.0,100.1..;200.0,200.1;...以后谁也别和我比版本号了

    ff 多少年了从1.0磨到2.0，如今google出了android就开始急，何必呢。。 让我想起了windows下的 ultraedit，毛点功能，几个月就从1.0升到10.0 版本。。 从3.5之后就换了，用了许多年的gecko换到了webkit，从关闭连接超时功能起ff已经易道而行了，如今与IE一样！

    为什么firefox一更新，就出来很多人嫌它更新太快，刷版本号？为什么chrome刷版本号的时候，却没人嫌它刷版本号，反而会关注下那1、2点小到不能再小的变化？

    @qifei9: 因为Chrome一直就是那么更新版本号的。

    FF是特地改成这样的，让人觉得完全是跟风。

    至少我是不喜欢这样的彪版本号，这种严格release让我感觉是：即使功能有缺陷，或者有bug，也一定要推出。这完全是让用户作为小白鼠，是不负责的。为什么不能4.1,4.2,4.3这样升级呢，真想不明白。 这也是我为什么从ubuntu跳到debian的原因：debian经常跳票，但稳重；ubuntu半年一次，升级一次惊悚一次

    Add-on Compatibility Reporter虽然能关闭扩展的兼容检测，但绝非万能，比如DownThemAll强行启用后工作不正常……Firefox拜托你慢点！

    对不起哈，我的意思是我从3.5就换用webkit了，例如midori。不过ff引擎本身，也确实存在靠向webkit，放弃了一些当时强大的后端设计思想往webkit那样简单化（看代码很明显），前端更在拼命紧靠javascript、html5等等，我想可能是因为要保全android版本的关系，败坏一代英姿。

    firefox需要重启来启动插件，一直觉得这个很弱逼，还有主题什么的 现在可以不重启了么?

    @kevin 应该叫做addons是不需要重启的比如Mozilla f1或者porspector，不过这2个都是Mozilla labs推出的。 插件说的是flash阿，java plugin阿之类的。

    确实ff在彪版本号，但是大家不要升级不就行了，又不是说不能用旧的版本……如果chrome下有vimperator/pentadactyl这样强大的插件或许我会去用chrome
