Webkit 引擎的 Epiphany 可用于 Ubuntu 7.10

Webkit 是 Apple 基于 khtml 的浏览器引擎，被用在 Safari、gPhone 上。我尝试在 Ubuntu 7.10 编译了 WebkitGtk 的 Epiphany 浏览器，deb 包临时放在 http://linuxfire.com.cn/~huahua/soft/webkit/，让大家可以在 Ubuntu “使用” Safari 了。

Webkit 在 Linux 下也非常快，Epiphany-webkit 看 map.google 和 ditu.google 明显比 Firefox 和 Opera 流畅。只是现在 Epiphany-webkit 和 WebkitGtk 还没整合好，渲染速度很快，但是好些应有的功能用不了，比如无法在网页里打开新窗口，网页里无法用右键菜单，网页里无法激活输入法，感觉上成熟度不如 QtWebkit 的浏览器。不过既然 GNOME 2.22 要默认用 Epiphany-webkit，估计这些很快都会修好的。

关于 Webkit

Webkit 被设计成可以用多种 GUI toolkit，包括 aque，Qt，wx 等，往 Gtk 的移植比较起来似乎没有 Qt 那么成熟，下载网页依然用的 libcurl，TW 的 jserv 说虽然现在已经可以多线程下载网页，可是效能上还有好大优化空间。

    @yegle: 现有的 epiphany 多是使用 mozilla/firefox 内核的 epiphany-gecko， epiphany-gecko 的扩展跟 epiphany-webkit 不兼容。

    哦， 也许 yegle 没理解 Webkit，

    epiphany 只是个外壳浏览器， Ubuntu 里的 epiphany-browser 现在只有用 firefox gecko 引擎的版本， 还没有 Apple Webkit 引擎的。

    还有一个基于 webkitgtk-svn的浏览器midori http://software.twotoasts.de/?page=midori

    Archlinux 下可以用yogurt 从AUR安装

    midori 看起来设计得不错， 不过好些功能没完成

    对了，补充下， 只是体验 webkit 的话， 不需要装笨重的 epiphany

    只要安装了 libwebkitgtk0d0~svn26044-1i386.deb ， 就可以在 /usr/lib/WebKit/ 下 执行 /usr/lib/WebKit/GtkLauncher 了，

    GtkLauncher 是个非常简单的窗口，用来演示 WebkitGtk，

    晕, 不知道出什么问题了... 之前装的wine也怎么搞都显示不了中文... 其它程序显示中文都正常啊, 郁闷了...

    midori也装过了. 中文显示不出是个别现象, 试了baidu, google.cn, pconline.com.cn, qq.com, 只有qq.com能正常显示中文, 但是链接不能点, 基本上处于不可用的状态... 只能期待它尽快完善了

    Svn 里边的 WebkitGtk 和 GtkWebkit 示例程序外观有一些改变

    /usr/lib/WebKit/GtkLauncher 更像一个浏览器了

    /usr/lib/WebKit/QtLauncher 工具栏多了复制粘贴按钮，可是剪贴板只在 Webkit 内有效。 不过 /usr/lib/WebKit/GtkLauncher 确实能 ctrl+V 粘贴其他程序的文字了。

    赞， webkitGtk 在 Acid3 里获得了 84/100 的高分， 远远把 firefox 之流抛下去了。

    而且 Ubuntu 里边 webkitGtk 支持 XIM 输入中文了。
