对于 VMWare、Virtual PC 这些虚拟机软件，可能大家都比较熟悉。今天我要介绍的是另一个虚拟机软件——VirtualBox。VirtualBox 是一款功能强大的 x86 虚拟机软件，它不仅具有丰富的特色，而且性能也很优异。更可喜的是，VirtualBox 于数日前走向开源，成为了一个发布在 GPL 许可之下的自由软件。

VirtualBox 在 VirtualBox 中运行 Ubuntu

VirtualBox 可以在 Linux 和 Windows 主机中运行，并支持在其中安装 Windows (NT 4.0、2000、XP、Server 2003、Vista)、DOS/Windows 3.x、Linux (2.4 和 2.6)、OpenBSD 等系列的客户操作系统。

    奇怪，我用这个虚拟机怎么比真实的系统要快很多？只是共享设置起来不如vmware方便

    不行，xp下虚拟安装Edgy不行。老有以下提示错误，ACPI-Disabled也不行

    我在ubnutu6.06下安装后启动时出现如下错误：

    VirtualBox kernel driver not installed. At '/home/vbox/vbox/src/VBox/VMM/VM.cpp' (303) in int VMR3Create(void ()(VM, void*, int, const char*, unsigned int, const char*, const char*, char), void, int ()(VM, void), void, VM**). VBox status code: -1908 VERRVMDRIVERNOTINSTALLED .

    这个是什么原因？内核驱动没有安装？是不是dapper不能使用virtual box？

    还是不行，因为我安装时出现了错误，但是可以启动VirtualBox，出现的错误如下： 正在设置 virtualbox (1.3.2-20070114Ubuntudapper) ... -e Creating group 'vboxusers'. VM users must be member of that group!

    Starting VirtualBox kernel moduleFATAL: Module vboxdrv not found. (modprobe vboxdrv failed)...fail!

    配置比VMWareServer麻烦。 也没有对3d显卡的虚拟（不能玩游戏）。

    sudo dpkg -i VirtualBox1.3.2UbuntuDapperx86.deb 选中了曾被取消选择的软件包 virtualbox。 (正在读取数据库 ... 系统当前总共安装有 93543 个文件和目录。) 正在解压缩 virtualbox (从 VirtualBox1.3.2UbuntuDapperx86.deb) ... 正在设置 virtualbox (1.3.2-20070114Ubuntudapper) ...

    安装几个虚拟机玩游戏都不爽，这个能不能流畅玩2d游 戏。2d的游戏经典也很多，能玩帝国时代2，博得之门2,也是非常不错的。有玩博得之门2？

    这个可以看看网络电视，上qq……玩游戏还是cedega牛，3d,2d全部搞定，博得之门2，帝国时代2，gta3,英雄无敌3,4,5全可以。寂静岭2,3完美，暗黑破坏神2更是小菜，英雄本色1,2。还有我的最爱命令与征服-将军。前提是必须安装显卡驱动，系统自带不行……

    看了楼上几位的问题，我说一下，如果你自己的机器能上网的话那么虚拟机不用配置可以直接上网（开网页什么的，ping我没试过） macosx用vbox好像不行的 还有就是no bootable medium found! system halted.那个，这个只是虚拟机，你不装系统进去是不行的。 vbox最大的好处就是体积小，17M的体积相比vmware来说，实在可以忽略了。

    主机Ubuntu810 VirtualBox206 客机WindowsXP，除了USB设备设置麻烦些，其它的感觉好像比VMWare65还好些。

    速度比较快，比如PowerDVD，移动和改变窗口时，更流畅。 声卡可以自动监测到，而且主机在用声卡时启动VBox也可以，VM就不行。 鼠标主客机间也一动也更舒服。 毕竟是免费的啊！！！！！！

    VM当然也很好，我一直在用。问题是正版不值得，毕竟只是玩玩，体验一下。D版又于心不忍。客机的版权限制也太严格，移动Windowas时，一不小心就废了，要重新激活，弄得我的正版XP激活次数超过了！限制盗版当然好，不过太过分了！

    支持VBox!

    本来我用vmware的，可我写java的，对sun有感情，就下了virtualbox，装了2003在里面，可网络能ping通自己，ping不了网关，上网也不行，这个host系统试过2003，也试过xp，同样是不行。

    我只能说，这个virtualbox的网络部分就是pieces of shit.
