开放源码的 VirtualBox 虚拟机程序于日前发布了一个新的版本 1.4.0。这个版本相对于 VirtualBox 的发布历程而言，是一个十分重要的版本。之所以如此说，是因为新版本为用户带来了许多明显的改进。

VirtualBox

VirtualBox 1.4.0 的主要改进内容包括：

  1. 完全支持 64 位 Linux 主机，RDP 会话重影，剪贴板同步，serial 串口，以及更容易的网络接口等
  2. 支持 VMware 磁盘映像 (VMDK)，并且虚拟机也能够访问物理磁盘和分区
  3. 新的界面语言支持，包含简体/繁体中文等 12 种
  4. 支持更多的 Linux 发行版本

VirtualBox 1.4.0 提供有 Debian、Ubuntu、Fedora、openSUSE、Mandriva、Red Hat Enterprise Linux、Xandros Desktop 等 Linux 发行版本可用的包。

另外，基于 Debian 的 Linux 发行版也可以通过使用以下的源来安装 VirtualBox： deb http://www.virtualbox.org/debian feisty non-free deb http://www.virtualbox.org/debian edgy non-free deb http://www.virtualbox.org/debian dapper non-free deb http://www.virtualbox.org/debian etch non-free deb http://www.virtualbox.org/debian sarge non-free deb http://www.virtualbox.org/debian xandros4.0-xn non-free

请根据所用的 Linux 发行版选择对应的地址，并将其添加到 /etc/apt/sources.list 中。不要忘了添加密钥（可从这里获取）： apt-key add innotek.asc

    终于支持剪切板同步了 Oh Yeah!! 访问物理分区似乎也有些用处 安装看看去！

    更新好了。 访问物理磁盘和分区就是以前的Vbox Sharedfolder。

    剪贴板同步...怎么弄？ 访问物理磁盘和分区就是以前的Vbox Sharedfolder。 稳定还是挺稳定的，以前也挺稳定 不知道能装freebsd了么

    剪贴板同步…看到了，在高级选项，但是无效 装了Addition，Guest是Win2k3， Host是Ubuntu 7.04

    Freebsd，Bug公告也说了不支持，我试了，FreeBSD 6 安装进程会Crash

    这种软件争取了很多时常需要用win下程序的用户将linux做为主操作系统.

    我用了VM的硬盘，在VM的硬盘中已经装了个系统，但是每次都是启动时候都是出错，知道什么原因吗？？

    2字符界面下 进入下载目录 3sudo apt-key add innotek.asc 4 OK

    驱动程序问题，windows 都有，上次不小心把真实硬盘里的 xp 在 vmware 里启动，结果挂了，两边都启动不了。

    to:VirusCamp 不明白你的意思。 我在virtualBox中建立一个虚拟电脑，然后硬盘是用原来的VMWare的东西，那个虚拟硬盘原来是装着一个操作系统的。我想通过virtualBox来启动它，结果就是出错。

    这跟驱动程序有关系吗？？他连启动都启动不了

    這麼說吧。VBOX允許掛載VM的盤，只意味著VBOX可以訪問盤上的數據。但是這個盤上的操作系統，是在VM虛擬出來的硬件環境下安裝的，跟VBOX虛擬的硬件環境有所不同，所以強行用VBOX引導的話，可能會無法啟動或者驅動什麼的不一致。

    有个问题，比起VMWare，VirtualBox有什么特点和优势？ 如果要选择，应该选择这两个的哪个？

    VirtualBox的特點是優化速度快，操作上遲滯很小，適合硬件條件有限的桌面用戶日常使用，開源發布，無須盜版；VMWare是為企業服務器做解決方案的，產品更成熟穩定得多，比如各種網絡接口、USB接口的支持等等，當然它是商業的。

    网络默认就OK了。你的虚拟机中不用设置，直接用默认的DHCP就可以了。
