Ubuntu 9.10 在 SSD 上完成启动仅用 5 秒

自 Ubuntu 9.04 开始，Canonical 一直致力于改进 Ubuntu 的启动速度。据 Ars Technica 报道，Ubuntu 9.10 的最新 Alpha 版本在 SSD（solid state disk，固态硬盘）上完成系统启动过程仅用了 5 秒，其中，Xorg 用了两秒。该结果通过 Bootchart 工具测试得到，见下图。

探究其中的原因，主要有二：

  • 一是通过使用 Sreadahead 系统服务来预存引导过程所需的数据，从而加快系统启动速度。
  • 二是 Ubuntu 所用的基于事件的引导守护程序 Upstart 具有并行处理引导进程的能力。

    @huang 最便宜的就是U盘呗，等买usb3.0的U盘吧。和SATA差不多速度了。

    启动快有啥用……使用时的速度才是关键。反正平时开机的时候也就顺便打水，完全不在乎时间的。

    ubuntu 9.04 平时使用速度并不慢 (和7.10/8.04/8.10相比的话) , DE本身和其他桌面应用软件各自的运行速度也是重要关键吧?

    ssd确实是好东东，看过ssd的hd tune读测试，速率大概是硬盘的3倍

    @ubuntu lover: 这个，就我个人试用的结果来看。9.04的表现明显要好于XP，顺带说一句我用的是via的c7芯片。个人的感觉是在C7下跑XP比ubuntu迟钝。或者反过来说XP针对intel和AMD优化太多了也没准。

    暂时还没有装备SSD，感觉在7200.3/7200.4的笔记本HD上，Linux启动速度都已经让人满意了。

    不知道配备7200.4和SSD的Mac OS X 10.6是什么速度，我的小白HD还是5400.3，没法测试，囧...

    5秒这个速度还是很快的，虽然在SSD上的。 我的SATA上有两个系统，Win7和Fedora 11，Win7的启动速度：10秒内到达输入Password的画面, Fedora 11启动完到输入password, 基本20秒以内。 全新安装Win7 Enterprise只用了12分钟！好吧，我不得不说，从安装和启动的个人体验上讲，目前Win7领先很多。

    哦，忘了，Win7安装的时候是装在已经格式化好的NTFS分区上的，这个不需要建立文件系统
