Ubuntu 8.10 RC 发布
Ubuntu 团队已发布了代号为“Intrepid Ibex”的 8.10 RC 版。关于 Ubuntu 8.10 的新特性，可以参考这里。Ubuntu 8.10 正式版预定本月 30 号推出，算起来也就 6 天剩余时间了。

BTW：Ubuntu 8.10 中不会包括 OpenOffice.org 3.0.0，而是 2.4.1，朋友们恐怕需要自己动手安装了。

臃肿不支持ODT是硬伤。太狗屁了。我近日整理文档找出一个wps文件，没法打开，由于这个文档不是很重要，我就扔掉了。当年WPS向MS开放格式，别人说，错了。时至今日，格式之争还继续否？个人认为ODT就不错了。
我已经抛弃客户端的office了， google,zoho的都还可以满足我的需求，前提是需要网络支持
不支持 ODF 的 WPS 我是不可能用的.
请问有没有windows下outlook的linux的替代软件，用outlook主要是为了要同步sharepoint和收exchange的邮件，OO.o不行，不知道永中里有没有

不支持ODF对WPS是无关紧要的，除非政府有了要求。
openoffice 2.4---3.0在8.10中打印粗体字都有问题

Hello, I am using Ubuntu 8.10RC, I can't type Chinese right now, just a quick question: I selected Chinese(China mainland) as language when I log in, the user interface becomes Chinese, however, when I use "svn ci", it asks me to write a comments, there is a line, something like: === this line and below are ignored ===. It is in Chinese character, I want to change it to English as if I select English as language when log in, the "locale" command gives me zh_CN.UTF-8, but I also want to keep the Chinese user interface. Thanks a lot.
。。。。。。。。汗，楼上这位的大致意思我看懂了，可惜英语不过关。回答不了，以前也没碰上过这类问题，准确的讲就是Ubuntu的中文化（单就安装盘而言）是不够的吧。大部分还是英语的界面。中文化基本没有。
I cant't type Chinese on Ubuntu 8.10RC with SCIM.I don't know why,but use fcitx,everything is OK.
Uninstall your SCIM^_^
