以下是几款媒体管理、播放和编辑软件的简介。

  • Guayadeque Music Player UbuntuForums的项目，基于 GStreamer 的音乐管理和播放软件。功能与 Rhythmbox 不相上下，但十分轻量，据项目主页上的留言说在256M 内存的机器上也跑的很好。
  • Qmmp，用 Qt 写的音乐播放器，Winamp/XMMS 式UI。因为没有基于 GStreamer 一类的通用后端，原先没有注意它，后来才发现它能支持 CUE+APE，以及视频播放，因为它有调用 MPlayer 的插件。
  • DeaDBeef，支持CUE。
  • foobnix，别搞错了，这不是 Foobar2000 的移植版，而是一个 Last.fm 客户端。Google Code 页面（有Deb包）
  • Minitunes，基于 Qt 的播放器，界面苹果味，极简洁。
  • Parole Media Player，XFCE 的 Totem，可在 XFCE 的 Git 中找到源码和 Launchpad 上找到 Deb 包，基于 GStreamer，没有其他的 Gnome 依赖。 Softpedia 的测评
  • Canola Media Center ，类似于 XBMC 和 Boxee ，色彩比较漂亮。可在Lauchpad 上找到 Deb 包。
  • XiMP3 一个类似于MPG123/MPG321/MADPlayer 的命令行 MP3 解码程序.不同之处在于它的解码库用的不是后来主流的 mpg123/mpglib 或 libmad ，而是 古老的Xing MPEG Decoder。而 Xing MPEG Decoder是最早的软件 MPEG 解码器，在它之前，如果要在 PC 上看 VCD ，都需要装硬解卡，一如今日的 VDPAU/VA-API/XvBA/DXVA 之流。 XiMP3 Tutorial Deb包
  • Zinf ，原名FreeAmp，应该是类Unix下最早的 GUI 音频播放器了。和上个一样，用的是Xing 的库。 Wikipedia 条目

    Petty的风格 黑日白月和toy都失踪了，所以Petty兄挑起了重任！ 这次推荐了不少播放器，不知道哪个支持专辑表演者的筛选项。

    Minitunes 这个要使用 Last.fm 对音乐文件进行编目，这个不是很喜欢，原因是文件的来源

    其实我在Ubuntu中文论坛看到的iceplayer是我觉得最好用，最简洁的播放器了~

    Linux下听个歌纠结得要死,我不要封面,一切都手动管理,只求能完美地支持各种无损格式. 搞了半天还是用了不完美的Audacious,因为其他的更不完美....

    Linux 上多媒体工具多于牛毛，没有一款可以和 windows media player 相比的。程序间的协调能力不行。

    DeaDBeef值得一试，界面简洁，Foobar2k风格，指向APE，自动载入同名CUE。 qmmp也不错，qt开发，Winamp风格，支持多种插件……

    @32idea: qmmp占用高是因为某个插件，应该是在可视化或者特效里面。把那个插件关掉以后就占用很少了。

    QT的话，还有一款叫cueplayer的，支持cue+ape，还支持mkv播放，不足是，……俄文界面，汗 http://code.google.com/p/cueplayer/
