Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring Beta 1 可用

Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring (即 2008.1) 的第一个 Beta 测试版目前已经可用于下载和测试。此测试版提供 Live CD 和 DVD 安装介质，支持 x86-32 及 x86-64 架构。其中，前者还包括 GNOME 桌面和 KDE 桌面两种选择。

Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring Beta 1 主要添加了以下新特性：

  • 基于 XML 的包元信息系统；
  • 支持多媒体键盘；
  • 将 Perl 更新到了 5.10；
  • 最新的 NVIDIA 及 ATI 私有驱动程序；
  • KDE 4.0.0；
  • 基于新的 GVFS VFS 系统的 Nautilus；
  • Kernel 2.6.24 RC8；
  • ALSA 1.0.16 RC1。
