Linux Mint 4.0 (开发代号“Daryna”) 已经正式发布。Linux Mint 4.0 包括 Main 和 Light 两个版本，内含 Linux 内核 2.6.22、GNOME 桌面环境 2.20、OpenOffice.org 办公软件 2.3.0 等。

Linux Mint 4.0 包含下列新特性：

  • mintUpdate：使用 mintUpdate 可让你的系统获得自动更新。
  • mintInstall & the Software Portal：已直接集成到系统菜单中，并添加了新的 mintInstall 前端。
  • mintDesktop：改进了可用性，并扩展了原有的功能。
  • Liberation 字体：包含 Red Hat 的 Liberation 字体。
  • Compiz Fusion。
  • 新的仓库结构。
