GNOME 2.22 发布计划

GNOME 每六个月完成一次发布。在 GNOME 2.20 发布之后，GNOME 的开发团队继续准备下一个新的版本 GNOME 2.22。目前，GNOME 2.22 的发布计划已经可用。根据该计划的安排，在本月的 31 号，GNOME 2.22 的首个开发版本 GNOME 2.21.1 将发布。到明年的 3 月 12 日，GNOME 2.22 最终正式发布。

GNOME

在 GNOME 2.22 中可能将包含下列新增应用模块：

  • GtkGLExt — GTK+ 2.0 及更新版本的 OpenGL 扩展
  • Empathy — 一个即时通讯客户端
  • Cheese — 从摄像头拍摄照片及录制视频
  • Gimmie — 一个创新的 GNOME 面板
  • MouseTweaks — 用于增强鼠标的亲和力
  • Vinagre — 一个 VNC 客户端

    empathy不只是一个im client。 它之所以会被推荐到桌面环境是因为它还提供了toolkit给其他组件如，nautilus 等。

    另外关于这个新闻有个疑问，这里提到的几个模块 都是 proposed modules，也就是说被推荐，最终没有定下来吧?
