Fedora 7 发布
Fedora 7（开发代号为“Moonshine”）按照其预定的发布计划于今日正式推出了。其中值得注意的更新包括 KDE 3.5.6、GNOME 2.18、Xorg 7.3、Linux Kernel 2.6.21 等。

"The tickless kernel feature (CONFIGNOHZ) enables 'on-demand' timer interrupts: if there is no timer to be expired for say 1.5 seconds when the system goes idle, then the system will stay totally idle for 1.5 seconds. This should bring cooler CPUs and power savings: on our (x86) testboxes we have measured the effective IRQ rate to go from HZ to 1-2 timer interrupts per second.
