Ext2 IFS 具有的特性包括：

  • 支持 Windows NT 4.0、2000、XP、2003 等系列。
  • 在 Linux Ext2/Ext3 分区上可以完成读取和写入文件、列出目录、创建、重命名、移动、删除文件或目录、查询并修改卷标等操作。
  • 支持容量超过 4GB 的文件。
  • 支持页面文件，也就是说 Windows 的页面文件可以设置到 Linux 的 Ext2/Ext3 分区上。
