Evilvte：超轻量级的终端模拟器

与同样基于 VTE 的 GNOME Terminal、Terminal、Tilda 等终端模拟器比较起来，Evilvte 确乎是最轻量的一款了。Evilvte 除了 VTE 之外，不需要其他额外的使用依赖。在功能上，Evilvte 具有标签页支持，可通过右键菜单在 UTF-8、GBK、BIG-5 等编码之间切换，另外还包括一些定制化特性，如是否显示窗口边框、设置字体/颜色等。

在大多数 Linux 发行版中都可以找到 Evilvte，因此你可以通过该发行版的包管理器直接加以安装。如果你需要获取 Evilvte 的源代码，也可从其主页下载。

    确实是一款轻量级的终端,依赖非常少,可执行文件也小,功能可称的上恰到好处,可是我一直没弄明白的是究竟哪个编译选项能让他支持窗口resize...让各位见笑了，可是我不论用gentoo的自定义编译选项还是ubuntu下预编译的版本，窗口是只能调整得越来越大，不能变小。如有哪位指点迷津，感激不尽...

    對我來說，UXTerm（Debian + X11預設的Terminal）就足夠了，Evilvte會再好用點麼？

    没有ubuntu 8.04的包可用，我下了源码编译在./configure的时候出现了这个，请问应该怎么办啊： Package vte was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `vte.pc' to the PKGCONFIGPATH environment variable No package 'vte' found

    @Bob: Ubuntu 源里有啊，直接 apt-get 就好。

    @guest: 这个同样没改掉 libvte 的 bug

    在我这里 evilvte 的内存消耗比 tilda 大，还找不到基于 vte 但是内存消耗比 tilda 小的。既然都是基于 vte 的，所以对我而言 evilvte 就基本没啥用处了。最根本的还是要优化 vte 的内存消耗。

    @华华: 只有8.10版以上才有，我搜索过好几次了，hardy确实是没有。 说hardy是LTS，可是怎么这么软件都不LTS它。

    我觉得tilda不太好用，怀念yakuake啊……后来又用上了guake，虽然现在开发几乎停滞(主页的最后更新在08年7月……我发过邮件问，人家说还有人在打理）。 再后来发现stjerm也不错。

    我在基于vte的终端中运行vim, 全屏时操作反应巨慢，我的分辨率是1280x1024。很苦恼! emacs -nw 倒是挺流畅。各位是否也有这种体验?

    stjerm貌似不是用配置文件的，不知道支不支持透明？ 还有那个初始大小太大了
