Eric 是一个使用 Python 写成的功能完备的 Python IDE（集成开发环境）。它不仅可以作为开发 Python 程序的编辑器和 IDE，而且也支持 Ruby 语言。

在代码编辑方面，Eric 支持语法着色显示，具有代码自动补完、代码调用提示、代码折叠等功能。Eric 也集成了许多实用的工具，如类浏览器、版本控制、文档系统、调试器、项目管理等等。通过提供这些高级的功能，Eric 使你成为一个专业的 coder。

Eric 当前最新的稳定版本是 4.0.0，基于 Qt 4。同时，基于 Qt 3 的 Eric 3 仍然可用。

    UliPad 这个 WxWidget 软件运行速度实在太慢了，老跟不上反应。

    Eric 很不错，不过还是用 gvim 了。

    其实最好用的是 vim，呵呵，上手是难一点，但最近越来越喜欢了。
