    不知道2G空间能不能安装好带KDE的arch呢?

    刚好有个2G的ext3空盘没用到....

    还有件事，楼上yanzilme兄，其实简体很好的，我也是台湾人，几年下来都习惯接受大陆的资源，试试看，大陆资源及计算机的教育、开放远大於台湾所能得到的，不妨接受並习惯，我甚至使用搜狗拼音输入3年了，不管工作、学习、娱乐。是的，真的非常的好用。

    @albert，yanzilme：遗憾的是，我对那边的惯用术语不熟，怕转换成繁体后贻笑大方。不过，若是有人愿意协助，我倒愿意一试。

    求助啊~~ 我是在vbox下虚拟安装的，在设置INTERFACES时没有做任何改动，然后选择了pacific的镜像。可是我执行pacman -Syu时却出错了，不能够连接。请问怎么修改啊？速度求！！！

    谢谢这个电子版的安装手册。

    提一点儿小小的建议：

    1. 如果大家不是用nvidia的显卡，那个xorgconfig不是很适合新手。推荐官方的hwd. 用以下命令安装：pacman -S hwd, 然后hwd -xa。hwd会自动检测硬件然后配置。比xorgconfig好多了。
    2. 在daemons 中加完alsa后，最好用root运行alsactl store。这样可以保存上次alsa的配置。对笔记本用户很有用。

    希望大家一起来添加内容，让这个成为最好的中文arch linux安装手册。

    为楼上作补充，可能还需要运行alsaconf 这样才能保证用户可以保存音量设置。

    上次忘记说了，archlinux 推荐将新的用户加入以下用户组： * audio - for tasks involving sound card and related software 

    * wheel - for using sudo 

* storage - for managing storage devices 

* video - for video tasks and 3d acceleration 

* optical - for managing tasks pertaining to the optical drive(s) 

* floppy - for access to a floppy if applicable 

* lp - for managing printing tasks

    安装的时候 swap 分区的分区类型是不是该选成 Linux/swap ？

    gdm 加在服务里，关机的时候貌似有个错误，可以能是我的问题 所以我用了 run-level 的方法 这样不想启动 X 的时候改一下 run-level 就行了，或者在 menu.lst 里加一行

    看了这个，我才转向的arch，对我刚接触arch提供很大帮助，不过里面的内容稍微有点老了，有些东西在最新版里已经不适用了
