ZFS for Linux 暂停

由 KQ Infotech 带来的 Linux 平台 ZFS 文件系统支持似乎暂时停止了。

从 Phoronix 得到的消息看，由于 KQ Infotech 被 STEC 收购，之前位于 KQ Infotech 网站上的 ZFS for Linux 相关内容已经无法访问。

值得庆幸的是，ZFS for Linux 的源代码还在 Github 上保存（最后一次 commit 是 2011 年 5 月），但是失去主要贡献者 KQ Infotech 令人不得不对 ZFS for Linux 的未来表示担忧。

从另一个方面看，之前从事 ZFS Linux 平台移植的 Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) 已经成功的将 KQ Infotech 的代码整合入自身代码树，其项目主页位于 ZFS on Linux 上。该项目目前还在活跃发展。

PS：该事件可以说是通过开源方式保证软件代码不会由于商业行为而流失的案例。

    FreeBSD 8.2 has zfs v28 support now.

    目前除了遗留的NTFS，全部使用ext4。

    zfs for linux现在发展速度远比btrfs慢，估计会变成鸡肋项目……毕竟btrfs能实现zfs的很多功能

    我问个关于掉电的问题.那个文件系统对掉电的处理最好.我之知道ext3默认30秒同步一次缓存到硬盘,也就是掉电可能损失30秒内的信息,怎么搞?

    但问题是，GPL 之类的许可，很难得到商业公司的大力支持，毕竟代码拿来使用后又必须公开（当然，这在中国是不需要有任何顾虑的）

    @fanhe: 可以在/etc/fstab里设置commit的间隔。掉电丢数据的问题很难避免，数据的 一致性 比 完整性 更重要吧

    @lam2888: 没有这个必要吧, ext4分区也可以被当成ext3挂上的, 如果没用extent的话.

    用zfs便不能用抢占式内核，不大适合台式机用。

    @fanhe: 数据都不保证，metadata都是保证的。我觉得你可以考虑用用带data journal的文件系统

    @qxrftz: 11.4 应该支持吧，默认安装时可以选择btrfs的。

    怎么在openSUSE安装时直接使用BTRFS分区?虽然有这个选项，但是不能格式化，提示为unknown格式。但是选择自动安装却可以使用BTRFS.

    @csslayer: 默认是有这个选项的，但是却不能格式化，点击之后还是原来的格式，也不能挂载任何目录，奇怪的是在分区挂载图里显示已经挂载了，最后还是不能安装。
