Ubuntu 8.10 "Intrepid Ibex" 发布时间表确定

Ubuntu 8.10 ，代号"Intrepid Ibex"（无畏的北部高地山羊）发布时间表已经确定了。最终正式版本的发布时间预计是10月30日。

在这之间：

  • Alpha 1 6月12日
  • Alpha 2 7月3日
  • Alpha 3 7月31日
  • Alpha 4 8月14日
  • Alpha 5 9月4日
  • Alpha 6 9月18日
  • Beta 10月2日
  • Release Candidate 10月23日

动物小知识：

Ibex，是一种生活在欧洲、亚洲和北美洲山区的野生山羊，有6个亚种。平均身高68厘米到109厘米之间，体重90到120公斤之间，寿命约20年。雄性具有巨大的弯曲的角。

    没意思。 我从6.06开始用起，现在用的是8.04。 我的机器用6.06可以休眠待机，后来6.10、7.04、7.10都不能待机了说。不是起不来，就是恢复后声卡没声音了。看来我得学ms用户把vista降级到xp了 当然ubuntu在细节上和易用性上改进了很多，但是这个驱动问题，唉～

    就是啊，驱动应该跟上。我用8.04觉得很不错，但是ATI显卡无法注销的问题很是讨厌。唉！

    妈的天天升，烦死了。而且我的显卡被加进黑名单了。喜欢用6.10可惜新软件都得自己编译了

    @linuxcity: 你可以加环境变量 SKIP_CHECKS=yes 来乎略 compiz-fusion 的黑名单， 或修改 /usr/bin/compiz 脚本

    的確，Ubuntu的Code name很難記，沒看一陣子就不知到Linux世界又跑了多少隻鹿出來。

    ubuntu 也可以无缝升级的說.

    ubuntu的字体渲染太弱了 除了雅黑都很难看 正黑细的像根丝，而且时大时小 华文黑体浓的看不清
    最近貌似又向Mac看齐 字体边缘变成明显的彩色了（黄）。。。。。。。。。。。

    半年大型升级一次的Ubuntu，这样的开发所导致的是较少的测试时间，这使得往往正式发行时 Ubuntu 就呈现不少明显的bug。

    是啊，并且每个版本不能做到LTS，这样会引出很多麻烦。 我是从ubuntu 7.04入手linux的，后来改到7.10时那个登录界面分辨率总也搞不定，就转投arch了。

    LTS 的觀念是"長期支援版本" 所以如果你使用的是 LTS 版,就只要一直用這個版本就好了! 在這個版本下有的 bug 就會更新,不用一直追新版的.
