Linux 内核 3.8 发布，带来了新的针对固态硬盘设计的文件系统 F2FS。

新内核带来的功能和改善有：

  • Ext4 文件系统现在允许在 inode 中保存超小文件，可节省 1%～3% 左右的磁盘空间。
  • Btrfs 文件系统新增专门的磁盘替换命令，大幅度加快的转换速度。
  • 新增针对固态硬盘设计的文件系统 F2FS，更多的利用了 FTL 带来的优势。
  • 允许非特权用户安全的查看并使用进程专属命名空间。
  • XFS 文件系统增加日志校验和。
  • 内存 Huge Page 增加全零页支持。
  • 内存控制器增加内核内存使用审计功能，允许设定命中上限。
  • 自动化 NUMA 平衡，更好的利用距离处理器最近的缓存。
  • 停止对于 386 处理器的支持。
  • 真正实现 CPU 热拔插。
  • 改善了开源显卡驱动的性能。

    这个不错，没听说过f2fs 稳定性如何，要是达到生产级别，立马把ext4 替换掉

    开源驱动性能提升还是比较期待的，N卡闭源驱动新版不能自定义分辨率（至少原来用29X能够成功自定义分辨率的方法现在3XX不好使了），用老版驱动跟X又不兼容，实在太恶心了，只能用开源驱动。

    @IO_Error: 我的yoga 13无线网卡是Rtl8723au,usb接口的，不知道3.8能不能支持？Rtl8723ae是pci-e接口的。

    F2FS又是三星做的。为什么中国企业就没有一个能实实在在为内核做点贡献的呢？联想，小米？只知道花钱做广告，卖便宜货。。

    @meow: 我恰恰相反，3XX的驱动在GDM就死掉，nouveau在桌面上经常导致文字什么的都看不见，现在只能悲催的使用173XX驱动

    @Yeking: cpu热插拔是支持物理硬件的. numa的机器, 有多个节点. 可以热添加一个节点的cpu的.
