KDE 4.7 Beta 和 GNOME 3.0.2

两大主流桌面环境先后发布了新的版本：KDE 4.7 和 GNOME 3.0.2。

KDE 发布 4.7 Beta 版本，带来：

  • KWin OpenGL ES 2.0 支持
  • 改善 Dolphin 文件管理器用户界面设计。
  • KDM 添加 GRUB2 支持
  • Marble 地球仪支持离线地址搜索

KDE 4.7 Beta 发布公告

相比 KDE 4.7 Beta，GNOME 3.0.2 只是在 GNOME 3.0 发布基础上的 Bug 修复和翻译及文档更新版本。值得注意的是，GNOME 3.2 将开始采用 tar.xz + tar.bz2 的方式打包源代码包，不再使用 tar.gz 方式了。

    用LINUX有必要那么在意桌面环境吗？什么特效在LINUX上只会影响效率而已。

    用着Fedora15里的gnome3,开始觉得配置选项少了些,装了个tweak,基本没啥问题了.

    rhythmbox不能最小化到托盘比较纠结.

    有用过的说说感受吗 为了kde4.4.5，我放弃了arch，转向 debian stable 感觉从4.4.5以后就越来越糟糕了

    如果整体放弃 GNOME 3 了，那么还有什么 GTK3 Only 的程序要用呢？

    所以我的理解是他放弃的是 GNOME Shell 。

    还是KDE用的舒心啊，不过感觉Gnome shell 在我这里运行的很刘畅，至少比我的KDE要刘畅点，但是经常提示我xxxx崩溃，还有就是有的窗口有关闭按钮，有的又没有关闭按钮，感觉很别扭，没有一致性的体验。还有就是Gnome3的网络设置在我这里不可用，只能用wifi上网，悲剧阿。幸好我是用liveusb，否则哭都来不及了。

    @ygjark: 特效虽然不是都实用，但有些确实很养眼，比如mac的界面。虽然这也分人，但在一个看着舒服的界面上工作，我的效率就是更高

    @bw: Qt版本号跟KDE版本号没有对应关系，就算KDE4.7比Qt4.8早出，也一样能够用Qt4.8来编译KDE4.7。用Qt4.8来编译KDE4.0也应该没问题，虽然没有做这么无聊的实验。但反过来就应该不行了，用Qt4.3应该编译不了KDE4.7

    @Robin Lee: 有没有问题这都不好说的…… 即使是ABI / API没有变化，也许有一些低版本的Workaround高版本不需要了。

    当然曾经KDE有个大版本号的约定，就是大版本号将和Qt一致，不过上次Qt 5要发布的消息到底要不要改成KDE 5也引发了一场讨论，因为觉得暂时没有“Revolution”级别变化的必要。

    @subting: 印象中3.x特别好，4.0-4.3比较糟，4.4比较稳定，4.5 bug多，4.6、4.7接近3.x的水平。不过4.4之前用的Kubuntu，之后用的Arch。

    为什么gnome3 的主题就不能弄的漂亮点？还有在应用程序列表中默认显示的字体是不是太小了？看起来特别的别扭，还有就是gnome-shell 对中文的处理不是很好，中文显示的字体很虚。就目前来说，gnome3 还有非常长的路要走。我觉得gnome 开发者缺少执行力，各个厂商之间的利益博弈使得gnome3 缚手缚脚很多东西最初的设想是很好的，可惜到了最后都没有完成，gnome3的演进速度大打折扣。这一点KDE做的比较好，没有那么多的束缚，执行力相当了得，创新和抄袭的速度，直追中国的山寨手机，所以KDE的演进速度非常快，同时也伴随着相对不稳定。

    @gml520: 字体渲染发虚是你用的那个 linux 发行版本没有为你配置好 freetype/fontconfig，跟 gnome 3 and gnome-shell 有什么关系？

    @空口无凭: 你看看 开发gnome的都有哪些厂商，使用gnome作为主要发行桌面的又是哪些厂商你就会明白了。 还有你看看gnome每次发布的版本还有它的开发plan，对比一下，你自然会明白。

    @gml520: 这说明 freetype 和 fontconfig 是没有问题了，那就应该是小问题了。fontconfig 需要守护进程的，可能是你用的发行版(which?) 中的 G3 的配置有点问题。我用 Arch，Arch 的 G3 没有问题。

    @cheer_xiao: 我用的是fedora 15,也许是我没有找到如何配置gnome3 的字体原因吧，不过已经没有关系了，我已经转投KDE的怀抱了。gnome3 什么时候能如gnome2那般稳定和谐，或许我会回来的。

    F15创建用户时有个admin选项不错,勾上后自动加入超级用户组里,可以直接sudo
