@要风得雨: gnome3又跳票了：近日，在荷兰海牙正热烈地举行着GUADEC 2010（GNOME用户与开发者欧洲区会议）。大会宣布了原本定于今年9月发布的GNOME 3将延迟至2011年3月发布，因此9月份将按常规发布GNOME 2.32。自宣布GNOME 3.0的开发计划以来，GNOME已经接连跳票了两次，第一次是从2010年3月跳至2010年9月，第二次便是这次：从2010年9月跳至2011年3月。

@hantsy: 据我所知，OpenSolaris的time machine依靠sun的ZFS文件系统，Linux上还因为许可证的问题没办法用。

I think GNOME2.x is actually pretty good. I mean it is lacking on some minor features which can totally be improve. But GNOME SHELL and Activity? They are more or less non-sense. I mean they should just add the searching feature to GNOME2.x and make the add/delete desktop as a minor option. so what you can add up to 1000 desktops. It is totally pointless. and GNOME3 is really visually annoying. Anyway. I agree with hantsy.

要是 GNOME SHELL， Activity 成为默认界面，真的不想用了，还是gnome 2 风格比较好。。。提了几年的nautilus 界面改造，一点动静都没有。time machine 之类功能，在 opensolaries 中的gnome 桌面早就实现了，不知道linux上为什么一直都没有。搜索是另外一个比较大的问题，没有像mac, win7 集成搜索，界面操作也方便，目前的搜索效率太低了，应该使用集成tracker，beagle等服务。目前没有文件夹内容预览功能（这个dophin都提供了），需要更多的排列方式。之前提到的tag 功能，可能他们都忘记了。

真希望nautilus elementary（虽然与mac和win7还是有很大距离，但主界面比较清爽）能够替代nautilus，成为标准。
