Fedora People 是 Fedora 贡献者们个人仓库的集合，方便用户获得那些不在 fedora 或 rpmfusion 里的软件包。

Fedora People 的创建目的为：

  • 为旧发行版本里的软件提供主要版本升级。
  • 在进入 rawhide 前测试新软件。
  • 提供使用其他编译选项得来的软件包。

注意若是在使用该仓库里的软件出现问题，请直接和打包者联系而不是使用 Bugzilla 。

该仓库目前提供 Chromium，Firefox 4，Etherpad 和 Calibre 等软件，支持 Fedora 12 以后的发行版。

    fedora x64 RAID0安装成功，开源显卡驱动运作良好，akmod-catalyst10.7一装就崩。

    rpmfusion用不了163的，yum-fastestmirror自动检测总是让我莫名飘到俄罗斯。手动感觉依然连到了rpmfusion官方。求解…………yum这一套东西和pacman还真不一样…………

    前几天刚通过网络安装F13，最小化自定义安装，觉得更适合搞开发的，做桌面易用性不及ubuntu和自定性不及arch。2楼的yum-fastestmirror这个插件不用就可以了，国内都有网易和搜狐的源了速度都很快。做桌面挺推崇slack的，除了包管理器无法处理依赖问题，其他都很赞。

    目前貌似要做几个 SELinux 方面的 Tweak 才可装 Catalyst 10.07:

    su
setsebool -P mmap_low_allowed 1
chcon -t textrel_shlib_t '/usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so' 
semanage fcontext -a -t textrel_shlib_t '/usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so'

    yum-fastestmirror 检测方式有缺陷，目前不推荐使用了。

    @黑日白月: 我是直接装的rpmfusion里的catalyst10.7。算了我打算用开源驱动不折腾。上一次被ati玩弄还是N年前，时隔多年再次被ati玩弄，莫名的悲哀。

    yum-fastestmirror貌似二位都不推荐……不用好了。哎还是arch弄的顺…………

    163 源应该加入了 RPM Fusion 的 Mirror List，但是那个 mirrorlist 在国内访问都是有点问题。。。所以最好还是自己指定一个比较实在。

    这个不是 Fedora 的 PPA，只是用来做存放测试软件的。其实可以用回自己的 Fedora People 空间来做。真正的 Fedora PPA 是 copr（Cool Other Personal Repo），域名是 repos.fedoraproject.org，现在还没有开发好上线。无论是现在 Fedora People Repository 还是 copr，都需要遵从 Fedora 的 Policy。

    @彭艳: 这年代还有人纠结于deb rpm？早就是过去时了。 借地问下，fedora下面，有没现成的这个社区源的查询工具，类似于arch的yaourt的？有没有类似于powerpill的多线程包下载工具？

    @kidfruit: 你没配置好吧？修改rpmfusion源的配置文件，默认baseurl是被注释掉的，把#去掉，然后修改baseurl为163的。为了避免外网流量（没办法~），我还把mirrorlist全都注释掉了。这样就只会从163下载包了……没问题~

    Fedora的人貌似都比较神，多长的域名都拿的出来……

    fedoraproject.org已经够长了，前几天居然还发现一个infrastructure.fedoraproject.org……Orz……
