Dreamlinux 是一份来自巴西的 Linux 发行版，该发行版于最近推出了 3.0 Beta 测试版。按照 Dreamlinux 的开发计划，3.0 正式版将于下月的 27 日发布。

引导与安装

我们拿到手的 Dreamlinux 3.0 Beta 的 ISO 映像大小为 660 MB。由于此 ISO 为 Live CD 映像，所以我们可以用来直接引导并运行系统。在引导系统时，Dreamlinux 为我们提供了一个选择：是进入 Gnome，还是 xfce 桌面环境。当进入桌面环境之后，可以立即对 Dreamlinux 进行体验。这是作为 Live CD 的 Linux 系统的优势之一。若是在玩过之余，想将 Dreamlinux 安装到硬盘上，那么可以使用 Dreamlinux 的 Installer。该安装程序已被包含到 Live CD 中，并在桌面建立了快捷方式。只需双击“DL Installer”即可启动 Dreamlinux 的安装程序。这是我所见过的最为简洁的 Linux 安装程序。几个必要的选项在一个界面中设置，点击“Apply”即开始安装。

桌面布局和外观

无论是在 Gnome 桌面环境，还是置身于 Xfce 中，Dreamlinux 都采用下边为 Dock 栏，上边为面板的桌面布局。同时，在系统的美工设计和界面外观上，Dreamlinux 都给人一种似曾相识的感觉。总之，Dreamlinux 透着一股苹果味道。

配置及安装工具

Dreamlinux 包含一个控制面板，其中涵盖了系统配置、硬件及网络设置等方面的工具。因为 Dreamlinux 是以 Debian 为基础而建立起来的，所以它也具有命令行的 apt 及图形化的 Synaptic 安装工具。此外，Dreamlinux 还提供一个额外的 Easy Install 工具用于安装知名软件、硬件驱动及多媒体解码器。

系统内核和应用软件

Dreamlinux 3.0 Beta 使用 2.6.23 版的 Linux 内核，Gnome 为 2.20.2，Xfce 为 4.4.2，其他常用的软件包括 OpenOffice.org、Gimpshop、Inkscape、Firefox、gFTP、MPlayer、Rhythmbox、Brasero 等等，能够满足办公、图像处理、网络、多媒体等方面的需要。

    我认为所有安装程序都应该这样，无论是Linux还是Windows，没必要老是上一步下一步的，空间够大就放一起不好吗？最可恶的就是安装过程中才不时弹出来的询问…

    Windows你就不能一开始就问我时区吗？

    VirtualBox里面跑了一下，用的XFCE，套了仿MAC的图标和UI，和Debian-XFCE区别不大

    刚下了个dreamlinux 3.0 beta2 的live cd, 刻成盘了，但是由于我的主板是mcp73，所以提示进不了X window,

    请教达人还有什么办法可以从光盘安装？

    dream linxu 2.2多媒体版是没有中文版本的！SO，界面很靓，但是没有中文输入法，只能上E文网页。
