Archlinux 是一个轻量、快速、灵活的 Linux 发行版，其哲学可以简略概括为“KISS”。想要即时体验 Archlinux 的特色，试试 Arch-live 吧。Arch-live 支持 Live CD 及 USB 引导，使你能够在数分钟之内运行 Archlinux 系统，并对其进行体验。

以下是 Arch-live 的几张屏幕截图：

Arch-live 引导画面，具有多语言选择。

arch-live login

Arch-live 登录管理，采用的是轻巧的 Slim。

arch-live desktop

Arch-live 默认桌面环境 Xfce。

arch-live software

Arch-live 包含的常用软件，有 Firefox、GIMP、Pidgin、Exaile、MPlayer 等等。

arch-live configure

在 Arch-live 中还包括一些配置工具，如网络、视频配置等。

    奇怪，这有什么意思？Arch 是从 0 开始自定义，难道 LiveCD 也这样，或者只是为了体验 pacman？ :\

    从零开始就不要用Arch的base….,自己用交叉编译的方式来真正从0开始

    ‘其哲学可以简略概括为“KISS”’这个说法不妥吧，这个貌似是SlackWare的阿…貌似UNIX那帮老头子也很推崇这个哲学，所以觉得”KISS”也一点都没体现Arch的特色…

    我也覺得用”KISS”形容Arch不妥
    Arch為系統做了不少改進
    已經說不上”Simple”了
    其實”Stupid”也有爭議
    Arch安裝的選項很多，可以選裝grub/lilo，以後又可以選KDE/GNOME]
    對於一個如此靈活的系統而言
    也說不上Stupid了

    你以安装软件多少来看系统是否轻量阿？那就无语了

    不过live cd貌似看不出arch的任何优势

    问题这是arch官方发布的live cd 吗？
    今天archlinux发布新的版本了，大家看看吧！
    Archlinux 2008.06 - “Overlord” 发布，这次发表包括很多
    改进，如下：
    1)base目录默认安装。
    2)使用UUIDs来命名设备。
    3)除了传统的iso之外，同时还可以使用usb镜像来安装。
    4)真实的live arch安装环境。
    5)包括一份来自wiki的新手向导。
    6)文档更新。
    7)包含当前稳定的内核版本:2.6.25.6。

    Live版是有意义的，它可以让新用户体现Archlinux的系统文件结构，设置方式，还有就是以686处理器级别优化的速度。至于轻量是指它的核心，我想除了系统管理员或使用防火墙之外，很少用户会运行一个100兆左右的Linux（Damn Linux 或 Slax Linux除外）。

    怎么我下的ISO镜像怎末不能用虚拟光驱打开呢？里面只有3个文件夹呀。
    arch-live，boot，devel这三个文件夹呀，怎么可以启动呢？
